When this discussion of trekking started with one of the place being finalised for Mullayangiri. I was eagerly waiting for the prospect of climbing Karnataka’s highest peak, the Mullayanagiri (1926mts). Chikmagalur is situated roughly in the south-western part of Karnataka state. A large area of this district is ‘malnad’, i.e., a largely forested hilly region of heavy rainfall. The name which literally means younger daughter’s town – Chikka+Magala+Ooru-(in Kannada). It is said to have been given as a dowry to the younger daughter of Rukmangada, the legendary chief of Sakrepatna. Another part of the town bestowed on the elder daughter is known as Hiremagalur.

The day finally arrived when everyone are on sync, with not many last minute dropouts. We are of 12 in count(Faisal, Naveen, Jewin, Mala, Sathya, Jeevitha, Puneeth, Manohar, Kiran, Lokesh, Vikram n Pavan who is a photographer for this pic ) all from BTP 7A bus gang, at around 11 p.m on friday everyone was picked up from their respective place, I was the last to get in, we had first photo shoot at my place which is a starting of many of those photo shoots. At about 12 p.m we left Bangalore, heading towards Chikmagalur via Hassan which is on NH48. The roads are pretty much good, all through the night no one slept properly. We reached early morning at 4:30, we had some reference to get a room in Inspection Bungalow IG road.

All got freshened to start our trekking, we had breakfast in Soundarya Residency @ 7:30 a.m. The weather was almost perfect with reasonable sunshine to ensure that the trek wasn’t too hot and also provide some relief from the cold winds in the mountains. As per our plan we wanted to reach Sarpadhari (snake path), the place from where the climb for reaching the peak at Mullayanagiri starts. But unfortunately, we end up missing that place and eventually 12 of us got down from the TT, gathered our back packs and started our journey from a different place at around 10 a.m. The climb to Mullayanagiri isn’t too steep, since it was early morning, there were few dew drops which made surface slippery to start up, once the sun started to shows its effect, slowly we got the control… It was so windy with the wind pushing people off the trial at some places. The group had some amateur trekkers including me who had a slightly tougher time during the climb due to the conditions. Since the entire Chikmagalur area is surrounded by hills, the scenery looked all the more beautiful. I had to stop at many places just to gaze around and enjoy nature at its Pristine Beauty. All in all, we had to fight the elements mentally and physically to reach the top at 12:30 noon.

There is a small temple on top of the hill, we performed pooja. Outside the temple compound in Mullayanagiri top. What is seen in the background is the idyllic hill ranges of Baba Budan Giri. By this time most of us drained our energy, we thought of re-energize ourself with some food items, my mom had packed Rave Hunde and Khara da Avalaki… About an hour or two we decided to descent down from the top of the hill.

Few thought to reach foot hills by TT, many of us had a disagreement and finally we had to follow the same path as we climbed to reach the top. The way back was much more faster. We boarded the TT, with complete satisfaction we all adieu to the beauty of nature. We reached our home stay at around 4 p.m, since there was lot of time for the day to unfold. My dad had given his friends number to contact, when i contacted him… he had invited all of us to his house. Before that we planned to visit Belur which is about 25 – 30 kms far. It’s been referred to as the ‘Cradle of Stone Architecture’. This temples is a must for art lovers, where one comes across some of the most artistically carved stone chariots, monolithic idols, open pillared pavilions, exquisite temples, spent around 2 hrs and also providing a good business for the tender coconut seller.

Finally started back from belur, on the way back we reached my dad friend’s house. We were greeted with dignity, made us feel comfortable, left us in a room to freshen up. By that time they were preparing snacks, this was really icing on the cake… as all of us were tired and eagerly wanted to go early to bed without further travel in searching of a good hotel for the dinner. My dad also suggested me to purchase coffee powder in the Panduranga Coffee Shop, dad’s friend showed us the way. Most of us purchased Coffee powder, Elachi etc… Finally the day ended with few games of bluff-master, as we wanted to get up early the next morning.

I was the first to wake up at 5:30 next morning, me and my friend Pavan had a morning jog. We left our place @ 7 to reach Hebbe falls which is around 60 odd kms from IB, with all our laguage packed to return back to Bangalore. To reach Hebbe Falls we had to stop at about 11 kms, from there we need to take jeep, only jeeps can ply in this road. The road leading to the falls is in very bad condition. In fact some stretch it must not be considered road at all. It just like hills leveled down with ditches all around. We waited for long time for jeep, unfortunately on time we didn’t see any of them…. few of us decided to talk n walk till the falls, it was an amazing experience of walking through the coffee estate. It takes approximately 1.5 – 2 hour to reach the estate. From the estate one has to cross three streams on the way to reach the falls. The paths become narrow due to the dense growth owing to monsoon. Hebbe Falls is surrounded by dense forests and coffee plantations, Hebbe Falls gushes down from a height of 168 meters in two stages to form Dodda Hebbe (Big Falls) and Chikka Hebbe (Small Falls.). It was shivering cold, we did not want to miss the refreshing dip in this herb infused water. We spent close to 2 hrs and made a move from there.

Finally after many days infact a year n half we decided to go for an one day team outing, but where to go…we had a team meeting to decide upon the places. We had shortlisted 3 places – Guhantara, Golden Palm, Manipal County. Since Golden Palm was already been visited, it was the last option. At last Guhantara was unanimous decision which suited in all respect more importantly fund allocation. As you all would be knowing Motorola under enormous change in management, cost cutting is the order of the day.

As the day near by, few of us took initiative to organise the event… everyone assigned some task… starting from transportation, coordinating with the resort ppl, capturing the memorable moments (photographers which happens to be one of us ), arranging games etc…etc… Our wellness team had planned for a coffee mug to be disturbed (again cost cutting . Everyone were in outing mood the previous day of the outing itself sending some chain mails regarding what should be printed on the coffee mug… some suggested scrambled first name followed by the normal second name, coreID, commerce ID… and even the photos. Almost the afternoon went in replying to the mails.

One of my colleague was joking while chatting, telling that outing comes once in leap year.. so better everyone be present for the day. Inspite of these we found few absentism. The day came 13-Nov-09, as usual i woke up early, got ready n reached office by 8:15, thought of accompanying few of my colleagues in my car. But later decided to commute in bus, which would be more fun than in car n turned out to be the right choice.

We started around 9:30 from office and reached the place by 11:30. On the way we had lot of fun…played antakshari, few mimicked our managers… one of my friend brought spirit mixed with vodka, they didn’t tell me n forced me to drink. Oh gosh, it was my first time n i was almost in the empty stomache, it started to burn… Finally we reached the spot.

From outside it just looked like a vacant plot full of greenary..where is the cave?? As we near, the entrance was beaming with bamboo bridge as though seemed like a entering the old caves. There i could see a wooden piece where you can find all types of animals/ reptiles/ birds ..one piece of wood and so much to see. GUHANTARA -India’s very first CAVE RESORT, suspended in time and space and as the brochure proclaims –Saga of mankind. The logo of the resort was like fossilized Nautilus conjures images of mystery and antiquity.

I walked through the cave with the fresh smell of earth, air and light that opens into a circular amphitheater overlooking a spectacular view of a knoll, where light streams through, has water cascading from above and gathering into the swimming pool below looked like a kids play pond. With the rainbow at one end and daylight at that place, it’s a sight that I will not forget in a hurry. I did hear that Guhantara bagged the award “Best Architectural Project in Bangalore” for 2007-2008.

I got to know there are 20 rooms, all underground, lined along a passage. Each room has a skylight so bright that during the day, there is no need for artificial lights. The area is well-ventilated and cool because of the air drafts that flow in from the ground. There isn’t a specific restaurant space, but there are several tables by the pool. After the initial introductory event, it was time for the lunch. The menu includes both Veg n Non-Veg, i opted for veg which comprised of roti, veg masala, corn munchurian, pulav, rasam, varity of chats… fruit salad with ice-cream etc.. Along with this at the other end is madhu shala (bar) without madhu:)they didnt get a license yet.. few of my colleagues headed towards it. This time I was aware about it n did not take a chance to move around that place .

Resort provides you with many field games and one can really enjoy if you are in a big group. Relax, dance and play games. A perfect way to get back to your childhood days and enjoy the time. Guhantara provides you with
- Volleyball, cricket ground, archery, basketball
- table tennis, carrom, chess, snooker
- cycling
- swimming
- rain dance.

At around 5:45pm we started to leave the place bye bye Guhantara. According to me it was okay to visit for the first time n for 1 day..

How to Reach
————

Guhantara is around 25 kms from Bangalore. On Kanakpura Road and actually very easy to be missed if you are going for the first time. Its ahead of ‘Art Of Living’ campus and to the right of Kanakpura. Actually you will see a sign board which provides you direction to take right from Kanakpura Road.

Address
And later we headed towards Ranga Shankara.

Ranga Shankara is located in JP Nagar, in the south of Bangalore. It is a premier place for theatre performances. The auditorium was envisioned by Arundathi Nag, in remembrance of her late husband, Shankar Nag, who was a renowned actor in the Kannada film industry.

It happens to be Ranga Shankara theatre festival 09 from Nov 05 – Nov 15. The theme of this festival was comedy. So all plays are based on comedy, we happen to see “Chekov Ki Duniya” an Hindi play. Got the tickets for 2:30 show, each costed 150/= per head. Later went for lunch to a hotel opposite to the theatre, the ambience was looking good and the taste of the food was also good. I had the information from my friend that we need to be seated 5 minutes before the start of the play, after that they would close the door. On time we entered the auditorium.

Chekov Ki Duniya, based on GOOD DOCTOR by Neil Simon, written and directed by Ranjit Kapoor… Troupe: The Entertainers, New Delhi.

It is a collection of six short stories by Chekov. CHEEK is filled with irony. It includes The Sneezer, who cannot apologize enough to a blustering general for a sneez on his head at the opera. DOOBA HUA AADMI, is a story of a man who earns by drowning. SHIKAARI shows a man-about-town using a husband as the conduit for his attempted seduction of the man’s new bride. Irena. BESAHAARAA AURAT features a wild woman with a nervous disorder, who tries to extrot money from a banker. SURGERY is a story of a man with a toothache faced with what look like instrument of torture and an inexperienced dental assistant. THE GIFT is a tale of a very concerned and a dedicated father who thrusts his shy, 19 year old son into manhood by taking him to a house of brothel.

Hats of to the performance, without any flaw either in the conversation or the setup.. Everything was so perfectly managed such that they hold the audience together till the end of the play. Entire audience were left with JOYOUS mood, me and dad enjoyed the play and I decided to watch it regularly whenever I am free.

Most of you ppl know that i have been volunteering for Youth For Seva for quite some time now. During the diwali session, i had received a mail regarding the charity sale which YFS was planning to setup on the 1st and 2nd week of October 2009. It crossed my mind to provide them our office premises for the sale. Communicated to the concerned people @ office, finally after nearly 2 weeks i got the approval to setup the stall in our office.

I received a formal mail from the company about the charity sale on 7th and 8th of October.

On 7th, an NGO called ASHA Foundation was willing to setup a stall. Asha Foundation is a charitable and voluntary Trust helping HIV/AIDS infected people, their families and society. The tentative list of items that they planned to showcase was : Diyas, cards, aarti plates, paintings etc…

On 8th, an NGO called PRERANA Resource Center came to showcase few of there products such as Garlands, baskets, candles, greeting cards, soft toys, paper bags etc… This organisation working for the Welfare of Visually impaired /disabled teen age orphan Girls from interior villages of Karnataka State, its main objectives are Counseling, Medical assistance, Mobility training ,Training in different Skills & Employment, hence leading to Total Rehabilitation.

Finally the day came, i was excited as this was my first initiative to setup a stall in our office and be part of noble cause. Sent personal invitation to my colleagues and friends to take part in this event. Few appreciated my initiative.

On the first day i didn’t find much of a problem in setting up, as everything came in place for me, got the security check done without any hassels… called up facilites to arrange for house keeping guys for shifting the products and arranging it near the cafeteria entrance. I was well supported by another volunteer from YFS name Avinash who looked after the entire days activity. In less than 15 – 20 minutes everything was ready and I left for my work. At the end of the day, they were quite satisfied with the sale.

On the Second day, there were 4 people inclusive of a driver from the NGO side and no person from YFS. Out of the 4, except the driver all were handicapped. Then only i understood, it would take long time in setting up the stall. Security check was not a problem, shifting of the products took time as i had the service of 1 house keeping guy, a driver, and the handicapped ladies… Oh man could not see them helping themself to reach the cafeteria. Did my best to help them and arranging for them to start. Felt sorry for them as the sale didn’t happen as they expected, there was a reason for less turn up… previous two days there was other sales in Motorola.

I had purchased few diyas, candle, greeting cards and a painting. At the end of 2 days there was a sense of satisfication in doing something to society.

Deepavali or Diwali also popularly known as the Festival of Lights. The word deepavali literally translates as a row of lamps in Sanskrit. Diwali-celebrating faiths to light small clay lamps filled with oil to signify victory over the the evil within an individual. During Diwali, many wear new clothes, share sweets with each other, burst crackers. I am not discussing about the history of the festival, for that you can browse the net to find more information on that.

During my younger days, we used to start the countdown of Deepavali from Vijaya dashami day itself. All our preparations for purchasing new clothes, cracker procurement start from that day, though crackers were allowed only one or two days prior to festival. Those days were sheer out-door days where all that mattered was high decibels and sparkling colours. I have been observing that many articles taking rounds in the tv, internet asking for a noiseless Deepavalli. Invariably, they advice people not to fire crackers on Deepavali. I just cannot imagine a Deepavali without crackers. Can you imagine a Deepavali without lights? Same way deepavali cannot be celebrated without crackers.

The reason they say is pollution(air and noise). Firing crackers pollute the environment. This is true. However, to which extent it pollutes is my question. The count will be far less than the thick black smoke spitted by the Govt buses and the private trucks that ply on our roads, the effluents of the chemical industries. Still, we target only cracker

For human beings, emotions and experiences are common but for the fine dividing line of gender. We boys considered Diwali to be our festival while relegating the Navaratris to the girls. The worst part of Deepavali was the waking up at an early morning. It was mother’s prerogative to do the waking up of the children. The next best part is the bath in gingely oil is something special. The mother smears a handful of oil on the head and you are supposed to retire to the bathroom, anoint your whole body with oil and have a shikakai-bath. Shikakai usually had the knack of entering into the eyes and burning them, and partly blinding you for an hour or two!. After the bath, new clothes will be given, which will have the vermilion to it in a corner of it. You wear the new clothes and do a shaashtaang namaskaar to Appa and Amma. After doing prayer, we are given sweet which actually mom pushes into the mouth and then you run out of the house with crackers in your hands and then the out-doors is all ours. This indeed is the crowning glory of a moment for the boys. And then the day goes on into a happy and listless cracker-firing session.

At my young age we have this competition among us “who generates more trash (out of firing crackers). The heaps of cracker trash gathered in front of the house are the measure of how much each one as brusted, in short it was prestige at that time. we used to fire lakshmi crackers, 10000 walas, time bombs etc etc.. since it generates lot of trash . I remember how adamant I was about buying a cap-firing pistol which my father was reluctant to afford. I took the hell out of him till I got the lovely red-coloured pistol. There is something macho about pistols and guns and this could explain my adamancy even though I was only about ten years old.

Since i have a brother, i used to not understand the way girls used to enjoy the festival. After seeing my cousin sisters deepavali celebrations started to realise, that the look, the brightness of the festival comes from girls itself. Without girls in the family, the festival is the dull finish. I just like to see girls wearing traditional saree, mehndi designs on the palms, even not sparing the feet, with flowers to there head and lighting up diyas, its just the fantastic feeling. Girls usually waited till the night-fall and fired the sparklers.

Now as we grow older firing crackers have reduced but not stopped. I am not worried about the noise or the pollution crackers generate. I knew, buying crackers feed lots of families in Sivakasi. Comparing to the thick dense smoke spewed by the government buses and Corporation / municipality vehicles, the pollution created by these crackers are nothing.

So ppl enjoy firing crackers, but be very careful when kids are playing with them. And keep a check on the envirnoment also, because at the end of fun we only have to live with it:-)

Instead of getting buried inside the search framework stuff all the time, thought of writing an article on Expressiveness, Movies, Love, Work, Mind etc …

Recently I heard an interesting quote from one of my friend at Microsoft – “Most of the people in this world are not much expressive just bcoz they fear that something may go wrong if they express what they believe in”. And most of them don’t really want to bear the consequences if something goes wrong. I don’t agree with this.

Movies and expressiveness – There is tight coupling between movies and “expressiveness”. I haven’t seen a single person who doesn’t like movies. Why? Because most of the things which we can’t do or express (what we really want to do) in real life can be expressed through movies/tales (But we seldom get a chance, unless we r a director or novelist…). I have seen people complaining that most of the movies made nowadays are related to Love (90%). Why? Just bcoz most people seldom like to express love in the real world (I am not inferring only the teenage love). Hence this topic becomes an integral part of movies and tales. Personally, I feel like Love is something which needs to be expressed. Whatever we don’t (or can’t) express in real life that things become an integral part of movies/tales (and of course our dreams too…).

Love – Let me ignore all the other flavors of love (Mother – Son etc) and just focus on love which happens with a boy and gal at an age of 18-28. I have seen many ppl (especially teenagers) who are ready to do anything for love. But teenage love is dangerous just bcoz at that age we can’t make distinction between real “Love” and an “Infatuation” (of course some people do…But definitely not at the age below 19). There is quotation like “Everything is fair in love and war”… yes that’s really true but applicable only for love and not for Infatuations. So one needs to know the clear distinction between love and infatuation whenever they talk about (or implement) the rules of love. I am sure every person in this world goes through a series of infatuations (even though they may not experience love…i.e. teenage love) in his life time. Personally I feel like we shud enjoy them and shouldn’t take them seriously as long as they doesn’t harm anyone. Love is more enjoyable than an infatuation.

Let me quote some good dialogues from my favorite movies. They really make u know the power of love. To demonstrate the power of love I am using movie dialogues instead of real life scenarios just bcoz as explained above what we can’t express in real life can be better expressed through movies\tales.

Movie: “A Walk to Remember”
Shane west: r u scared of death?
Mandy Moore: I am scared of not being with u.

Movie: “Jab We Met”
Kareena Kapoor: Am I doing the right thing (At the time of eloping)
Shahid: No, You are not doing the right thing. But it’s ok…u only said that everything is fair in love…

Movie: “If Only”
Paul Nicholls: In your life, if u has one day left what would you do
Jennifer Love: That’s a hard question.
Paul Nicholls: I just like to know
Jennifer Love: Well, Shoe shopping….eating…..
Hmm…It’s an easy answer..I will spend up with u…just being together..like
now ..doing nothing…

“True love never dies for, it is lust that fades away. Love bonds for a lifetime but lust just pushes away”

Immature love says: ‘I love you because I need you.’
Mature love says : ‘I need you because I love you.’

Mind and Heart – Whatever we express, originates from mind, heart or Mind + Heart. When we are in love, generally we use only our heart (heart goes to 100% utilization level at that time). But at that time, we have to use our mind too up to some level… The obvious question is “why?” …”In order to figure out whether it’s really love or an infatuation”. If it’s really love, go ahead and enjoy using your heart at 100% utilization level.

The most important part – WORK and LEARNING – Mind and Heart plays an important role in Working\Learning. People who use only mind during work\learning can’t make better products unless they put their heart into what they do. Most successful people in this world are the ones who put their hearts while doing work…I mean they like and love what they do from the core of their heart. So while working or learning anything… love the work and keep right blend of heart and mind into it. By putting your mind, u will get the creative output and putting ur heart u will get the real satisfaction i.e the real things which we expect while doing work or learning something. Finally, what I mean to say is put a correct blend of Mind+Heart while working or learning something. That fetches u the creative output and outmost satisfaction.

Disclaimer: The above inferences are from my real world experiences and sometimes these fundaes may look like bullshit if we look them from a different angle

India is known as the holy land where Lord Krishna explained the mysteries of life and death in the battlefield of Kurukshetra to Arjuna in the great Bhagvata Gita, when the war of Mahabharata was fought.

Bhagwat Gita, is the most revered book in Indian mythology and its preachings are the main subject being taught in most of the Ashrams. The lessons in the chapter of Bhagwat Gita in the Mahabharata are the complete knowledge of life and are the true guidelines for exemplary conduct and behaviour.

The people round the globe associate India with yoga, meditation and spiritualism. If one talks of spiritual channels alone, the market is huge in India. There are more than ten TV Channels which are doing the job of propagating religion 24×7 in hindi and english alone. The highly esteemed spiritual gurus and ashrams have become the need of the hour. Never before was spiritualism such a sought after industry in India.

People go to Ashrams, listen to presentation, understand the intricacies of life but when they come back home, they tend to forget the teachings learnt there and get engulfed in day to day chores and activities. It is not only that listening to a presentation is important; what is more important is to give the teachings a practical shape, implement them in right earnest, improve thyself and become a useful unit of society and spread the message of peace and tranquility.

People seeks divine intervention as the only path to fulfill them. Even if a person has everything he needs, he is still unsatisfied. The grass always looks greener on the other side of the fence. That is where desire and greed crop up.

Spiritualism is the latest craze in India these days. Being spiritual is considered to be sophisticated and elite. It has become a fashion statement with people these days. Yoga and meditation have become a style and are the hot topics.

Hundreds of spas offer yoga and meditation packages along with massage and other therapies, have opened all over the country. The spiritual industry is synonymous with India. Spiritual gurus are held in high esteem as they act as the bridge between people and God. Yoga is the only way to combine the mind and soul together.

Several institutes have opened in India that teach yoga and meditation as well as alternate healing procedures. What is still confused is that on one hand , millions of people throng these Ashrams everyday voluntarily in search of their unfulfilled desires and on the other these organisations are making money in the name of religion.

Since ages people have believed in getting divine involvement in getting remedies for everything. They seek assistance from astrologers and numerologists before commencing anything auspicious. No wedding takes place in the country without the pundits calculating the date and time of the ceremony. Pundits have always been part of all major rituals in India. These people are making money which the people are themselves showering on them to obtain the auspicious calculations.

The prominent Guruji’s who have massive following in India and abroad are Swami Ram Krishna Paramhans, Sri Aurbindo, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

It is what I would define as something that pulls us out of our state of normal idiosyncrasy and puts us in a state of belief where we believe that Life is so good, or I am so lucky, or I am the best on this planet Earth, or I am the chosen one of God. That is the only moment when we do not tend to think that “Why me?” and then, suddenly we think otherwise because that moment was just a moment and now it’s gone. This thought is what this whole topic is all about.

Why a moment of happiness doesn’t last long? Why it is that good things have a short life? Is this because life is basically bitter or is it just that we don’t realize good things as good until they are gone? or they are just to end and then crib and cry over it. It may be anything but the general and public opinion stand still that “Happiness is just for a moment”; though its memories last but the real moment is gone even before we know it came.

Did ever we think about what are good things in life? Good things, I would state them to be something which is healthy for us; healthy in the physical, emotional, psychological sense. Can you think of anything which is sweet and which is good? Can any such thing really exist? As a matter of fact, nothing really sweet exists which is good for us in any way. For instance, Bitter gourd, a very nutritious thing for health, is named over something we all try to stay away from, “Bitter”. Another thing that I can simply talk about is Turmeric, when taken with a medicinal value is also bitter. So does that mean that all good things are bitter? Has nature made them so?

Is this simply a choice for us to choose either from pain (referred to as bitter here) or a happiness (referred to as sweet). So in general life, what we tend to choose is a very personal opinion though most take up the sweet thing as soon as we see it. May be, the next time I see it, I am gonna stay away. Or I am gonna shout, Leave me the way I am. Why? Why can’t an easier path be the right path? Why is it that only the tough paths are supposed to be the right ones?

For all the problems that we face, Society tells us, whatever happens, happens for good. That I believe is just a consolation prize that we get for we could not get what we wanted; something just to play with so that either we can blame some part of it on God or to wait for something good to happen to us. But should we really wait for something good to happen or should we create our own path..

Whatever it is, Life is not going the way you are going. Take your own path and let the life follow you. Lot of Question marks in life, still i am searching for answers.

I think it is safe to say that I have been having a bad last week. Some of you are aware of the fact that I am currently suffering from ankle ligament tear. I don’t like using the word “suffering”. I feel like it implies that I am a poor soul who has no control over what is happening to me and am in need of sympathy. “Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional.” But today I am in pain. Nothing seems to relieve it even a little bit. Usually, the medication works to bring the pain down to a bearable level. But today…

I have always tried to take a positive approach to life. But I have to admit that it has been difficult over the past week. We often see pain as something negative, to be avoided – take a pill and make it go away. We have forgotten that it is our body talking to us, telling us that there is something needing attention. However, it is not just the pain that we see as bad, but also our responses to it, as if we are somehow weak. Now, I am not saying that we should embrace pain (I’m not a masochist), but I have attempted to be more accepting of the feelings the pain elicits. Sometimes the pain(both interior and exterior) is enough to make me cry. So I cry. I just no longer see it as a sign of weakness.

Then, after a minute or two of crying, I remember to breathe. I remind myself that pain is a fact of life, whether it is physical or emotional, but it is only temporary, and will be followed by better things. After all, without the rain there can be no rainbow. I like to think of the following quotes:

No man knows till he has suffered from the night how sweet and dear to his heart and eye the morning can be. – Bram Stoker

Pain and pleasure, like light and darkness, succeed each other. – Laurence Sterne

Whole week I missed the yoga classes, chatting with friends colleagues… Attending boring meetings in office…. meeting the deadlines… Missed my passion to drive.. I am great believer in God, sometimes in the week thought why me to take all these sufferings. But other moment felt God as given time to understand myself and the people around me…. I would thank everyone for their very warm wishes for my speedy recovery. I truely miss my best friend, nowadays not in good terms….

From Tomorrow I am back to normal days…. Hope the life catches up with the correct track…
